    Wedding Themes

What wedding theme would you like your wedding to be or what was your wedding theme if you are already married?

For my wedding when I get married I've narrowed it down to a few themes I may have.
    1. Animal Print!
    2. Silvery Winter Wonderland
    3. HORROR FEST!!!!
    4. US Meets UK
    5. 80's Prom ;D

I love animal prints, horror and gore, and anything 80's lol But I will probably have to go with Slivery Winter Wonderland haha lame :/ :P
My SO wants a beach wedding, but the place I would LOVE to have it at costs 10k and its 3 hours away from my home town. Hearst Castle baby! <3

My fiance and I are going to have a simple yet classy wedding. We're both poor (starving college students), so we can't afford anything too expensive (we'll probably have a 5k-ish budget, if we're lucky). But I'm pretty cool about that. I'd marry this man in a run-down barn if it was all we could manage. I'm crazy in-love with my SO. (:

Can't the theme just be "woo we're getting married!"?

      I'm terrible at these things.

If you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspicion...love actually is all around

Yep that's basically our theme, lol! We're both pretty low-key and not big fans of all the fuss, so a simple ceremony with 20 guests (including us!) is more our speed... nothing extravagant about it!

Although we've booked a highland hotel in Scotland, he'll be in a kilt, and my dress is slightly rennaissance-looking... perhaps that's kinda like a theme!
We collided and fell out of nothingness... scattering stars like dust

I'm going with Squiddie's theme. I never understood the themed wedding thing, maybe I'm old-fashioned or something but to me there's a difference between a party and a wedding.
Happily married to the little Canadian boy I never thought I'd meet in person

From what it sounds a "theme" is supposed to be some cohesive decorating idea. I suppose it's one of those things you have to have now like colors and those massive bows on the backs of chairs.

Hmm not so sure about a theme. But if you mean decorations...we will definitely have some African stuff. So like African fabrics on tables and maybe an African statue or 2.

If my SO ever convinces me to marry him, it would probably be a small geeky/nerdy wedding. I know it wouldn't be too extravagant, we would both rather spend money on our castle, we're cheapskates. We'd probably have some kind of Star Wars, Star Trek, or video game theme. It would have the <3 symbol in various places. I'd probably make most of the decorations, outfits, and cake myself.

This post reminds me of a great website : https://offbeatbride.com/
They have pictures of people's weddings who are unique and do their own thing. There have been several geeky/nerd weddings. And there was recently an engagement ring with the <3 symbol on it.

One of the most beautiful weddings I ever saw (in pictures) was on there. It was a sunrise wedding in the woods, in a cave. Uh-maze-ing.

I love offbeatbride. I could never do what a lot of the women (and men!) on there plan for their weddings, but it's so cool to look at everything!

Eh i've thought of colours, not a theme. maybe dark blue or dark purple with white. and I want puppies. lots and lots of puppies. ROFL

I have thought of having it in a japanese/botanical garden and have a japanese themed wedding too... but I've already looked and you need quite a few people to attend for where I was looking at. My SO is adamant we're only inviting like 25 people =p

We didn't have a theme... (we just decorated a gazebo we rented in a park pics) but it was lovely all the same. Neither one of us wanted a big to do. It was just about the vows and the moment for us. We only had two guests and of course Zoe, as ring dogger.
Each and every one of my friends had the giant wedding though, and they were all thrilled with them. One spent enough to buy a house (her rings, a second, smaller house, egads). I think we came in at under $300, clothing included (rings excluded). I could tell that several friends felt sorry for us ... but they surely need not feel that way! It was our dream day, and to each their own!
