I am plain and simple person. Even though I am not getting married anytime soon, I love these two dresses. Those close to me say that the second one is definitely me.
Doh all my hard work at posting the picture failed.
Anyway, when I went up to wellington for a girls weekend we went bride dress shopping and I found this dress! The saleslady in the picture fluffing out the dress freaked me out as she was doing a hard sell on me which annoyed me but eh. The price in NZ for this dress was $2500NZ..the price in US is $800
I'm still young, I'm only 19 and I'm not engaged yet, nor have I discussed marriage with my SO formally. BUT, I do have an addiction to watching "Say Yes to the Dress" and I've found myself looking at dresses. I found what I know is THE dress. https://www.davidsbridal.com/Product...pet-gown-T9612

Thanks! I love the open back look on dresses. Only annoying thing is that Nick has seen this picture of me in the dress when I was over to see him I was using his computer and even though I had deleted it somehow it came back on to his mac and he found it! gargh. I still like it though and our wedding is a year away so chances are he will forget what it looks like
I found The Dress today, although I can't post pictures because LoveL isn't allowed to see it
I went in today with my mom just to try styles and see what I liked and what worked with the intention of buying one off the internet over the summer to save some dough. Well, serendipity stepped in today! Just as I had finished trying on all the dresses I'd picked out, the woman helping me brought over one last one, I tried it on, and that was the winner. It's ivory, ruched around the waist with a nice train, a small flowered bunch on the left hip and a flower strap over the right shoulder. I walked into that store solely with the intention of just getting a style in mind and walked out with the perfect dress (which, miraculously, they'd just gotten into the store so no one had tried it on yet, and was for a really good price). SQUEEEEEEEEE!
PS. Is it standard for garters to come with dresses? Mine did and I'll be amazed if I can make it to our wedding date without flinging that thing at LoveL endlessly like it's an elastic.

This is so funny- I have this dress in my closet back in America! I bought it a year ago when I thought we were doing the fiance visa and would be getting married in several months. But then we decided to stay in Mali longer so now the dress is just sitting in my closet, waiting for us to come someday.
But I adore this dress. That's why I got it even though I wasn't sure of the wedding date and all that.
I got it in February. My mom, one of my bridesmaids, and I went just to find out what styles we liked best. We walked away with this one. I absolutely adore it! I can't wait to wear it next year when I marry my fiance.
