We both have macs, so we use facetime a lot. Problem is I can't seem to get headsets to work properly. I want to be able to get audio through a headset device and it doesn't seem to want to. I'm using a usb connection, so maybe that is the problem? Do I need something else? It works fine on skype. Any ideas?

Sometimes the headsets' audio input/output thingies from the USB aren't connected properly. Try looking for the option on facetime to change the audio input from the headset mic to the computer mic. Some programs are just set differently and isn't always compatible with the USB input/output function.
