    Why doesn't he have a phone -.-

Ok so the problem is that he doesn't have a cell phone (at the moment). The only way he can contact me is through his computer with the internet using skype, facebook, twitter, all those social networking sites etc.
But I have a phone with an unlimited international text plan but no fricken' data- so when I'm out I have no contact with him whatsoever.
I added my phone to twitter via SMS so now I can send direct messages to him on twitter with a text. And if he messages me on twitter I get a text of his direct message.
Thing is- it's really slow...I would send a text and he receives it extremely late and he would message me on twitter but I would get a text of that message a billion years later (idk why *sniffle) And it's very annoying -.-
Is there any other ways we can contact each other if he can message only through internet and I can only text? :I

I am actually looking for something like this for my fiancé since he doesn't have a phone either.
I heard there's something called line? that he can use to call you through the computer and you receive it through the phone but it uses internet data for it.
Haven't checked it out yet though.

Maybe he can get a Skype phone number? My friend had one when she was abroad and it made it easy to call her up to chat. I'm not sure if the Skype phone numbers allow texting as well but it's an option.

You could reroute your Facebook messages to be delivered to your phone through texts, if nothing else. I know that I had the same problem for a long time in my relationship (and trust me, I know how difficult it can be if your boyfriend doesn't have a phone. It makes travel, directing him somewhere, or finding him extremely difficult). Otherwise, you can ask him to get an account at TextEm, and he can text you from his computer wherever you are.

There are websites available to use to send text messages, or he can set up an AIM account and add your phone number to that. You will receive the messages as a text while he will be able to sit at his computer using the messenger program.
