    Trouble In Paradise: Skype Etiquette

My boyfriend and I have been together for about two years. I love him more than anyone or anything, and I'm so scared I'm boring him or that he's going to get used to me.
What's making me worry that this is a possibility is that when we Skype, he tends to be on YouTube. I often have to repeat myself.
I don't quite know how to bring this up, because it's a habit, not just one thing he says or does. Communication is usually pretty clear, but... this just feels so petty.
Has anyone solved this problem before? Any help would be appreciated!
    Wishing all the best,

It might be a good idea to let him know that you would like time on Skype without him being distracted. It's good to know that the other person is paying attention when we dedicate that time to talk to them.

How often do you guys skype and for how long? My SO and I skype once a week/voice chat once a week-ish and even though i love spending time listening to her i do get bored and i wonder to youtube and tumblr to just have something to do really. If you want to bring it up to him but don't want to be direct maybe try asking what he's watching when he does this and ask him to send you the link so you can watch it together. it gives you both something to do if he is just trying to find something to occupy himself, but if you find he still just goes and watches more videos by himself instead of paying attention, you might want to just say to him that you want your skype time to be time dedicated mainly to each other and if you want to do activities you should try do them together.
      Good luck :3

I think it depends on how you do it, really. For some time, we used to Skype for hours every single day, then usually we would have up websites at the same time. Now where we Skype much more seldom, we may be active online before and after, but not while we are on Skype. We will rather have a short Skype time and be focused while we do it. Maybe that is something you could suggest for him. We are very generous with each other being online, so there is really no need for us to be doing something else while we talk. We are also very honest with each other in that if we dont feel up for it, we dont Skype. So I think it has to do with the general way you communicate.
I made love to him only twice, she thought and looked at the man laying asleep beside her. And yet still it is as if we have been together forever, as if he has always known my life, my soul, my body, my light, my pain
