Webcam Advice - Shall I buy it?

As you can see by my ticker, I leave for university at the end of next month. I was originally taking my laptop which has a built in webcam, but my mum has bought me a brilliant desktop PC so I'd like to buy a plug in one. I've found one for a reasonable price, so reasonable I'm considering buying one as a surprise for him too!

It's a Logitech C310 HD webcam. Does anybody have any experience with them? Or can recommend something better?

That should be a pretty solid webcam for the price; keep in mind it can't turn left or right though. If that is not a problem, then it will probably fit your needs very well.

You can't go wrong with a HD webcam! Logitech is pretty good as well. Make sure that your SO has a really fast internet connection though. HD webcams only work with certain configurations. If his internet is too slow he probably won't get anything out of the HD option!
