Song Ideas?

Ok so I have been writing a continous letter, and filling a little package, to my SO for his first week in the Marines Basics. I have filled it with silly song lyrics I have came up with throughout the day, pictures, etc.

Soon the letter will come to an end, because he leaves for basics soon. He is living in Indiana while I am here in KY. Because his friend lives there.

But anyways.. I have one last thing I want to put in the package..A CD filled with songs to think of me. I have recorded some of my own songs in a studio, and want to put a couple more songs about being gone, and away from each other.

Any ideas of songs?? Can be recently released or old!

"Kiss Me Slowly" by Parachute has bits and pieces that really reflect an LDR. Its not primarily focused as a song about LDRs or anything, but the bits that sound like it really hit home. Also, "I'm Already There" but Lonestar is purely based on an LDR with the guy in the military. It even has a version for those in the armed forces. There's some great lyrics in that one. Good luck!
