skype sleeping

so..last night..my SO and i were skyping...no video...just talking...and it got to be about the time i would normally crawl into bed..so i brought the puter with me and my headset...and we continued to talk for a while and look at things on tumblr..and i was getting sleepy...and she could tell that cuz she asked...anyway..i ended up falling asleep for about an hour..and when i woke up...i asked her if i had fallen asleep...and if i was asleep for long...and she said yea a while...so anyway...we decided to leave skype on all night...and both fell asleep...and every time i would wake up...i would listen to her breathing as she slept...and the little sounds she would make...was so very soothing...so when my alarm went off at 6am...i said good morning to her...and she responded with a good morning...and we talked a bit...before finally logging out so i could get ready for work...honestly..it was amazing...i enjoyed it so much...and just felt a new sense of love...see...we haven't met as of yet...we meet for the first time in 16 days...so i get to hear her sleep right next to me...as well as watch her sleep and snuggle her....so exciting...i so love the new stuff we keep adding to our relationship...makes my love just keep growing...anyway...just thought i would share...and if you aren't sure about trying it...seriously...give it a try...quite amazing....have a good day my LFAD peeps!!!!

Skype is an absolute godsend for us in LDR's

My SO and I fall asleep together while in videocall most nights and it's truly wonderful to see him (albeit only on my laptop screen, placed where he sleeps when he's here) but just the sound of him breathing//little snores/the way he frowns a little when he's dreaming is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I'm up for work at 4:30am so always end the call right before I'm about to leave the house...A real pain to have to tear myself away from that every morning

i don't know that i would wanna do it every night...but once in a while...so that it stays fresh and exciting...haven't done it with the webcam...yet anyway...lol...i told her i would definitely love to do that again though...not sure if it will happen again before she is here in 15 days or not...but at that point...we get the real thing...hehe

Yeah it does become a bit of a routine, but it's still always fresh and it's something to look forward to through the day

Me and my SO do this occasionally, usually on Fridays and Saturdays since we're 5 hours apart, and I can stay up until 5-7am when it's 12-2am at his place, and we can both fall asleep together It's just such a soothing feeling, waking up in the middle of the night and see him sleeping there, hearing him breathing... Of course, being able to sleep with each other for real is so much better, but when it's not possible... We go for the second best thing

Me and my SO do this every night. We will first use video to see each other before bed and then switch to a voice call. We've done it for so long we can't sleep without each other now. We use our ipods so there isn't any laptops getting in the way or rolled over on lol. We've been together for 3 years and haven't met in person yet I think I'd go insane without skype or oovoo lol Good luck with your meeting hope it is all you want it to be and more. =)

Me and my SO have never tried this but it's probably because when I am home I share a room with my sister and when I am at school I have a roommate so it might be awkward. It sounds like it would be nice though. We might have to try it if I ever get a moment alone.

I love falling asleep together on skype. It's so soothing to be able to hear him while I'm falling asleep. Our time difference can make it a bit tricky, so we don't get to do it every night, but when we do we both really enjoy it.

OMG! Actually, when my guy sleeps I have a day time (8 hours difference) and its the best watching him sleep, hugging his pillow! I love that. It feels like I'm more close to him this way. And yes, skype is definately a help in LDR.
By the way, before falling asleep, me and my BF made this tradition of saying good night to each other (and if I'm home - he reads bed time story to me)

I've always wanted to do this, but I'm afraid to leave my computer plugged in all night, or that I might knock it over. It has very frail hinges. My computer also can't run if the battery is not plugged in, and I don't know if that will do even more damage to it faster. As of right now I can't afford to have it replaced. Should I give it a shot anyway?

This is something me and my girl have talked about for a lil while but not quite gotten around to yet. It's mostly cause she uses her iPod when it gets real late, just cause its easier for her to lay in bed with that. Trying to find a way to prop it up against something so that it will keep still for me to see her is the issue. At worst, I can let her see me when I sleep, but we wanna do it together the first time we get to it.

Any ideas?

Haven't really done this yet with my SO, I've been sleepy on the phone but not over skype, I'm just one of those people who can't seem to get comfortable enough to fall asleep that way, not sure why, I suppose if I was super duper tired it would work. His breathing is a big help to me in person to fall asleep though ^ w ^

Yeah we usually do the video bit too, then when it's bed occasionally one of us (usually her tbf) says 'oh ill have to work out how to prop up my iPod so we can sleep together'. Yeah I guess voice could work, id like to see if we can get Video to work out, cause I usually wake up a lil bit before her and wouldn't mind having her face asleep on my webcam while im going about my day

I think we'll give just voice call sleeping a go for now and see if we can work out a way to transition it to webcam. Thanks
