How to ask.

I am from a small cotton farming town in Mississippi and when you're a senior in high school you're presented during the "cotton ball" my SO doesn't like to dress up and go to parties like this.
Does anyone have any fun/cute ideas how I should ask him to go with me so it will make him kind of excited to go??

It's tough if its just not his thing- my SO didn't own a shirt until I met him and now it's strictly funerals christenings and weddings- there's no way to change somebody. But if it means a lot to you they maybe he'll be willing to go. My suggestion would be make him a cute formal invitation, like a handmade card kinda thing. Explain on it how you'd really like it if he came with you but also be understanding that it might be his idea of hell. And if your with someone who is not having a good time it usually means your not having a good time so just bear that in mind!
