msg in a bottle idea

Hi everyone!
I'm wanting to steal the msg in a bottle idea... how freakin cute!
I'm trying to come up with small items could fit or be rolled up to fit inside of the bottle. The problem I'm running into is, he owns a candy/chocolate store, so I feel strange sending candy.also, He is huge into working on cars and trucks.
Any ideas!!?? or advice?

are you any good at writing stories or doing art work, could you do something like that and roll it up. Maybe some jewelry or stationary. Would you be able to fit in something like lego or something that he would have to put together.

When i did this for my ex I filled it with a little sand, aged the bottle with glass stain and wrote a love note. I also included sheet music to our song.

These are all great ideas! Am I able to send a glass bottle in the mail or does it need to be plastic?

That is such a cool idea!! I'd love to hear ideas on this too! Don't really have a suggestion for you unless it would be little toy tools that relate to working on cars -- just for fun.

Yes I mailed it with a crap ton of bubble wrap...lol
