If you don't like skype..

My gf and I just tried using oovoo, and she has a netbook and it worked a lot better then skype did for us. It was so nice being able to see her for the first time in ten days! I can't wait to see her in person, but anyways just thought I should spread that, it's the same as skype but for us it has better video quality.

You know, I've had a couple of friends who really like it. Skype mostly works for us, but hiccups. I wonder if I could get my bf to check it out with me. I have a Mac and he's PC, so that's part of our consideration.

I really like oovoo and sometimes msn (if it works)! But skype is my #1 go to webcam session thing lol

Skype's been working for me for the past month, not with my girlfriend because she doesn't have a webcam yet but with other friends.

We've been having some problems with Skype, but we think it's mostly his computer.
I wonder if oovoo is really that much better? I'm curious as to what everyone else thinks of it. This is the first time I've heard of it.

Video calls too.
For her netbook skype always hung up, disconntected, froze up and oovoo doesn't do that for us.

oovoo has better video quality, too. skype would sometimes cut out (green-screen) or get pixely, oovoo never does. I can't comment on increased/decreased audio quality because i've never had issues with either program's audio. my only qualm with oovoo is the incessant banner ads, especially in full-screen.. and i don't want to upgrade to a paid account haha

We tried oovoo and it didn't work for us. The audio quality was terrible and the video was jumpy. I don't know if it's just our computers because everyone else apparently loves it, but it didn't work for us.
