Went on our first dinner date.

So as a preface, i am generally a little uncomfortable with video calling (I've always thought it a bit odd and laborious) and i suspect she may have just agreed to the whole thing because it was something i wanted to do.

It was 8pm my time and only 12pm her time so it was like lunch/dinner but whatever. She wore a dress that think she looks beautiful and elegant in. She was having a stressful morning and running around flat out so i was worried she was going to cancel but i wound up sitting up until after midnight talking and laughing about everything. It was beyond wonderful. I couldn't wait to tell people how much fun i'd had.

She sat me on a saucepan on the table so it was up high enough lol.

Thanks for the idea, LFAD. I can't wait until our next one.

My boyfriend and I did this too and it was so fun! We both had sushi and went to a bookstore afterwards. Both of us flipped through cookbooks and showed the other recipes that looked good. Will definitely do this type of date again...just hope the connection is better next time
