I wrote our names in the sand and drew a heart around them when I was at the beach with my mum and daughter. I took a photo of it and posted it as my fb profile picture. He loved it when he saw. It's only a small gesture but it's the small gestures that mean the most.
oh that's lovely! i did something similar for our anniversary. i made a heart and wrote his name in the seaweed that was on the beach, and made myself the "I". i got my friend to take a photo and made it read "I <3 Matt". see?
Oh that looks cool!! I had the idea earlier too that I could write "I love you" in random places I pass through, maybe with chalk on the pavement, or using leaves at the park etc, take photos of them and email them to him or send them to him in a letter or something.

I think that's a really great idea. Then you can save the pictures and even do a little collage at some point.
I did this for Nolan when I was camping by the beach:

Here is the one I did in the sand, it was a month or two ago now - it didn't come out very well I'm afraid:
And here are two I did today on the footpath. I used green chalk because green is his favourite colour. I've uploaded them in to an album that I made just for him on facebook, tagged him in them, and set the "my <3 is in Perth" one as my profile pic. :P
oh... PurpleDreamer, they're lovely. when i was at the snow in the holidays, i wrote things for matt in the snow when i got really soppy. i don't know where those photos are, now.
Awwww so adorable! (: I wrote my SO's name in the sand when I was at the beach, for as common as it is you certainly get weird looks, not just from the seagulls either! it is simple, but it definitely means a lot. It's been my desktop background for ages now and I never get sick of looking at it.
