My Love book

I dunno if this has been done before but I thought I'd share my idea anyway.

Today I found an old journal I had never used- a couple of hundred of blank pages with a purple cover, and I got the idea:

Our love book, from me to you:

From the date of our 1st anniversary, I am going to put an entry in it every single day till the distance is closed. It doesn't have to be like a journal everyday, you could put different types of entries in there too. These are the ones I have thought of:

- standard journal entry, like how I'm feeling, if I'd had a great day or a bad day
- a random story of something that happened to me on that day
- a conversation we have had that day which I don't want to forget/ im conversations
- Poems I find in books/internet
-Song lyrics
-doodles/drawings
- Pictures from the internet I think would amuse him
-photos I've taken on skype
-Newspaper clippings, funny news stories.
- photos I take during the day when I'm out and about

That's all I can think of for now I'm planning on giving it to him the day I return permanently I just hope I don't run out of pages! lol

I've also started something like this. I saved our first conversation that we had from the dating website we were both on and added that. At one point before we met I wrote this little story about what I thought our first meeting/kiss would be like (since we already decided to get the kiss outta the way right away LOL )......then I wrote my version of it......and left a blank page for him to write his version....as sometimes you miss certain details the other person took with them. I added also in it tips I've gotten from this site and others about How to survive an LDR....and compiled a list of my favorite activities for people in LDR's to do and put them in the journal. Also just added random notes here and there, or what not. and we can send it back and forth to each other! How great to have that years down the road once you've closed the distance.

thanks guys! By all means do it for your SO's too, it's why I shared the idea, it's just something you can spend a tiny amount of time on everyday, but it adds up eventually! I really think he'll like it- he looked delighted when I showed him I'd kept the tickets to see the christmas lights last year from one of our first dates, I might stick those in there too!
