Hotel 626

I was just going through the list of things to do, and the idea number 81 ("Get scared together", with links to virtual haunted houses) reminded me of an awesome online game called Hotel 626.

You can only play it during the night (from 6PM to 6AM) and your goal is to get out of the hotel while solving different puzzles and trying not to pee yourself. The great thing about the game is that you can use your webcam and mic during it, and if you allow it to, it'll take a picture of you at the scariest moment. I don't remember excatly, but I think there might have been a way to save or send that photo of you to someone after the game is over - I need to check it out.

Although me and Jesse played it while we were together in person, I imagine solving the puzzles would be just as fun to do over the phone.

This could be an idea on its own or a part of #81 - works for me either way.

What is the difference between "Commit yourself" and "Check in"?

I imagine they would be game-related terms for 'Sign up' and 'Log in'.

I actually changed my question because I realized that Commit yourself was for the asylum game and check in was for the hotel game

6pm to 6am... in what time zone?

It isn't a particular timezone. It actually checks the time on your computer. You can actually change the time on your computer to play whenever you want. For example right now it is 5:39pm my time, and I wouldn't be able to play, but I could change the time on my computer to 6pm and I'd be able to play right now if I wanted to.

I liked hotel626 it lot more because there was a little more to do than in asylum, even though asylum does look a lot cooler. It was hard for Frank and I to do it at the same time because of different loading times and if I messed up I'd have to start over and Frank would be ahead and vice versa. It's definitely not a synchronous activity but it's still fun to do

So I tried it but all it did was show the camera moving in the hotel hallway, then it blacked out and there was a text "Try again?", what do I need to do in it?

On the right hand side there will be a door of a different color/ different looking from the other doors, right before the darkness/blackout happens, you have to quickly face it with your mouse then click on it while running past it to go through it.

We're going to try! It's just to find the time. I've been REALLY REALLY REALLY busy with homework and he's been busy catching up on sleep hahah, he's trying for some type of physical fitness badge. As hard as I try to understand what he's doing I'm not too sure on the details, it's just some type of badge thing he can add to his Class A's (which he looks so good in by the way lol) so he's been having various tests of physical fitness the past couple of weeks. He's pretty exhausted by the time he gets home and to bed early, where as I'm up all night just doing homework. But I told him about it our last webcam session and we want to do it, it's just to find the time. =P
