I think it comes with two different boxes, one green and one red, so you both get a box
At least, that's what it says on eBay... I might get some too, this is just too ridiculously cute... might be a nice parting gift for the day I leave to go to FL

I'm actually going to make something similar to this... only I painted us two wooden boxes (each one matching our personality) and then bought glass hearts separately. From there I'm going to make a similar little inscription on the lid...
It's seems a little more from the heart, at least for me. Especially since he's made me gifts in the past

Well for Valentines Day I got my boy a promise ring, personally engraved.
I went and saw him 13 days ago, he had gotten me a beautiful gold ring with diamonds in return! So beautiful, he wishes it was more expensive though, he wanted it to be an engagement ring. <3 I love it so much!

I think making some is an excellent idea. i might make something similar instead of buying them.

It's really cool, actually! I finished the box (I tried to post a picture, but I'm having issues with getting the picture to have a url, ugh)
Pretty much I went to Michael's (you could go to Joann's, or really any craft store) and bought one of those wooden boxes that they have. From there, I stained it, and gave it a nice little coating to make it slightly shiny (and a little less like a random wooden box)
From there, I printed out that really cute LDR quote (See my signature) with a note under that said "As long as you you have my heart, our connection will never be broken"
And I glued that to the inside of the lid

I wanted the box to be big enough to have other things put inside... whatever he wants! Mine is a memory box I'm taking with me, with things like old movie tickets and the ribbon off the flowers he gave me when he asked me to prom.

P.s The Glass hearts were a little harder to find... I just got vase fillers, but you could really get anything if you want.

                    Gifts I've received and given:
My SO bought me a plush pink robe for Valentine's this year to keep me warm when it couldn't be his arms. (we were having massive snow storms) He's also the first man to send me flowers to my door. 2 dozen roses for my birthday, another dozen roses during a difficult time I was having, and a beautiful bouquet for mother's day. Married 16 yrs before him and never received flowers so even though it's cliche' I loved them!
He also sent me a care package full of school supplies when I decided to go back to college. It's those little things that mean the most! A few weeks ago, I was at a restaurant with friends and the waitress came over to say the check was taken care of and gave me his name. He had called with his credit card to foot the bill. I felt so special!
I wish I was on the right computer to upload pics of my presents to him.
I'm a photographer so I do a lot of picture gifts. For Christmas, I did a boudoir session and gave him the shock of his life! Valentine's day, I took the pic of our hands w/ our LFAD bracelets <---- and photoshopped the lyrics to "our" song over it, printed it as an 11x14 and had it nicely matted and framed. He cried. I also sent him a penguin statue since it holds a lot of significance. And a wind chime that has dreamcatchers and wooden pieces symbolizing my native american state. He hung it outside his bedroom window and says it brings him a lot of peace and happiness to hear it. For his birthday I used my prof lab to print a whole bunch of pics of him and his kids so that he could decorate his new home. I also sent him an elephant figurine with two trunks intertwined to resemble a heart. (he LOVES african elephants). For Father's Day, I made him a custom "family rules" hanging like this with very fun and unique rules that he has with his kiddos and he said it was the single best gift he's ever received. Again, he cried. Love it when he does that!
I've enjoyed finding little tea shops (he's British) he frequents and calling to surprise him with a credit when he next goes there...just little things to make his day and give him a smile.
It's been challenging and so rewarding to find ways to be a part of his day. I love to give. Cards are another simple and cheap gift to give. We both have a box with all of our cards and mementos from being together in them.

I just bought my SO the connection hearts. I'm trying to figure out if he'd like/want the LFAD bracelets.

For me, since I haven't met my girl but we're still emotionalyy attached, Everything I see that I'd like her to have, I buy. Then when we meet, I'll give her one present per day (Or maybe a big box with everything I've bought so far? I haven't decided yet) And this goes from books to jewelry. What do you guys think? I'm even taking some of my personal books to leave with her then she can bring me back when she comes over. Some DVDs. I'll also give her a bottle of my favorite perfume so she can wear it and smell like me and I'm taking a bottle of her favorite perfume to do the same. I'm a big smell person, I love to smell and my olfactory memory is really good, sometimes I'll smell something and be instantly reminded of someone or some familiar place, so I want to have that with her.

Before, I've sent her a box with cute little things (pins, a free sample of my favorite perfume, a heart plushie, some other things which I don't remember, a pair of socks and a letter) so she wouldn't have to wait for long to touch things I've touched. When she tried to send me, they sent back to her because my postal service was on strike. I was so freaking mad, especially because it was during the recession which hit her hard, so she could never send again. I'm hoping she hasn't forgotten because I sure as hell haven't and I want to pick it up!

This is one thing my SO has made me. It's currently framed up on my wall. He got inspiration from a song. (Eye Alaska- Miles Don't Mean Anything).
We make things for each other quite a bit. I made him a book with inspiration and love quotes in it with our pictures inside of it and he adores it.
