So this is what me and my honey like to do is Roleplay ^-^~ <3 We kinda get distracted in most of the rp's but really its a GREAT way to see more deep into your artist self and your SO's artist being as well <3~ Since characters and storys really put apart of you in it its really fun to do ^^

If anyone wants to do this with there SO and doesnt know where to start i could make a little guide on first time rpers ^^

Like making a story together and acting out the characters be at crime or fantasy or anything you wish or something from a movie ^_^

One story me and robert role played was newly weds who my char had anmesia she is a child-book writer and helps her through her memories and we slowly regain our love once again as she is very frightened by this man who she does not know

Its really fun to do and helps you express your creative side to yourself ^^

awww. That's real sweet. I can pretty much guarantee he wouldn't do it though. lol I'm more of the artsy one. I may not have excessive talent but I do like to draw, I've done a few drawings/paintings for him; his packages are usually filled with crafty/handmade things; and I was in Speech/Drama when I was in high school; family vacations I usually chose the art museum as my family activity; I love musicals; I was in dance from 3 y/o until I graduated HS, etc etc. He's NOT into any of that! lol But it is a very cute idea and I think a lot of of couples would enjoy doing this together.

My SO and I actually met each other through RP, and we still RP together on occasion! It definitely is a lot of fun and lets you express your creative side!

I personally love to RP! But my SO isn't the literary type lol. A pity because it sounds like a really fun way to get to know your SO better!

I used to roleplay with my best friend for years and we made up quite interesting plots. We had multiple characters so it was more flexible and fun to imagine yourself in your characters' shoes. I've never done it with my SO but it's a great idea.

My bf likes writing stories but not really anything we could possibly act out. Do you usually take turns writing entire stories or hand the incomplete story back and forth? We've only been dating for 5 months and I'm only moving further away =/. I want to share an activity he would like and i think this would be great.

It is so much fun and its our creative outlet. Its a way to show how much we like to be with one another and it is a lot of fun. It helps pass the time and honestly makes me feel closer to him. I dont think we will ever stop.

Every nighttime, when both of us are settled down in our beds, we start our fantasy story. It doesn't matter what kind of subject it is and it's very calming and relaxing (that's how it feels to us lol). I recommend it if you want to spice up your communications, that gets dull, with your SO (that's if you both have time lol).

This is actually really funny because that's also how I met my sweetheart too. Out of all the places, finding the love of your life in a roleplaying website just seems silly.

Usual online roleplay, when done between two people, is you both agree on a setting and, if you want, a storyline. You create characters that can either be whatever you want or someone similar to you in terms of maybe personality or looks and someone starts off by setting up where their character is and what they're doing in either a few sentences or paragraphs depending on what you're comfortable with and the other responds, the characters converse and work togther and it's like writing a book together with just these characters and any extras you feel like adding in. It's very fun and a good writing exercise.

Like a couple others, I met my guy through roleplaying years ago and his advanced writing skills actually inspired me to improve my own writing to 'catch up'. We did only group roleplays together and before he started working long hours we were planning several of our own to do for fun. We're not half bad as a team, he gets the general picture I put in details. There are two specific characters we want to revive elsewhere as the RP they're from is at a hitting-brick-wall point again and said characters pretty much set up our getting closer as friends and his eventual asking me out. Which seems odd considering how they are, but that might unsettle people. XD

But yeah, I totally condone this activity as you don't need to be a fantastic writer to do it. Though if you think you're pretty decent and you guys want a forum where you can do adult stuff, try the Elliquiy forums. There's an acceptance process that takes a few days but they have boards where you can do basically anything from innocent to R-rated to Holy-Hell-People-Do-That?! and you can either do groups or just the two of you. Naturally you have to be 18+.

I'm another person who found my SO on a roleplaying website, lol. Unfortunately the website died, but it was good times and I got to meet him. I wasn't really that much into RP as he was, but I still liked it. I guess we subconsciously roleplayed before back in our msn "marriage" days. Like we had a house and a few pets and two kids, heh. We stopped when we became a REAL couple though, but it was fun while it lasted. But now he's traded roleplaying in for D&D, which involves RP, so meh. :3
