He has always come to me or I have gotten a ride with a friend to see him but it is possible in the future that we will meet halfway at a rest stop sometime in the future (right now I don't own a car). The rest stop is in South Carolina but I'm not sure what city.

My SO lives in Jacksonville and I live in Sebring so we meet in Orlando FL. That is about half way for both of us. We are meeting again this weekend for a longer weekend due to I have Monday off from work.... I am sooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My SO lives in Wyoming, and I'm in New Mexico, so I suppose meeting somewhere in Colorado would be doable for both of us, but we haven't done it yet. So far it's been more comfortable and convenient to have our visits at each other's homes. :3Comment

I looked up the half way point between my house and his house and the one between my University and his house on travelmath. I mentioned it to him and he said no. He has a car but I don't so to travel I rely on planes, friends, and public transportation. Me using public transportation in an unfamiliar place scared him. So it's just going to be me visiting him or him visiting me.". . . We obviously have to come to accept it, but that doesn't stop it from gnawing at us day by day.
