    Traveling information

I was reading some of the posts about visiting the SO's and there are so many people always asking about visas, greencards etc so how about making a section for traveling information?

It could be questions and answers (like FAQ) or just links to airlines, immigration ministries or embassies in each country etc or little tips and advices from people who really know stuff about them so instead of posting new threads about it all everyone could just check out this section in case there already is an answer to their question.

That's a really good idea. I don't know this stuff first hand because Frank and I aren't in an international LDR, so it will take some research.

If anyone reading this has tips, post them here!

This is a great idea! I don't have to worry about international travel either but maybe and entire part of the site dedicated to all travel. That would be neat. Very time consuming for all the research, but I know all the visitors and regulars would greatly appreciate it!!

I think this is a really great suggestion! I think having such a section on the site could really benefit a lot of people. Even just having a forum section about traveling would be of benefit. People could post all their travel questions there as well as information about their travel experiences that might help others. There could even be a sticky within the forum with FAQ in there as well as a sticky listing and linking to the immigration embassies in different countries.

For anyone looking to immigrate to Australia:

                      https://www.immi.gov.au/immigration/
                      - Australia's immigration website. You can apply here online and read up on any visa you're interested in.

                      https://www.australiaforum.com/forum.php
                      - This site has some of the best advice for people looking to immigrate. The mods answer specific situational-based questions very well. Also, they link the most current news about immigration policy reform/changes.

I can actually post a bunch of useful stuff for Australia, since I'm planning on moving there, but these two are the two must-haves.

For all those traveling to, from or though Canada here is a link to CATSA.
                        Canadian Air Transport Security Authority
                        https://www.catsa-acsta.gc.ca/home.a...ccueil&lang=en

Basically, it covers everything you need to know about traveling by air in Canada and has a handy Prep and Fly tool. Which is will generate a list for you of all the stuff you are going to be packing and/or need to do before you depart.
