Hey I'm 16 and I'd love to go visit my SO, but how do I go about it? I am just looking for ideas and such. I thought about going next year in the summer, with a friend. I don't know if my parents would even approve, but well as I said I am looking for ideas and advice.

If you can get your parents permission then you are allowed to fly. You would have to make sure you were able to stay with your SO because most accommodations require someone over the age of 18 to rent the room. Would you consider taking your parents along?
