She decided she doesn't want to come see me in the summer and meet my family, although this is what we had planned on before I left...her mom said she would make sure that she came and saw me in the summer too, but my girlfriend says her mom didn't care really, but she sounded very genuine to me. I paid for a bit of my SO's plane ticket too (although I told her to spend it on whatever she wants/needs because they're kind of poor...). My mom thought she was coming for sure and is a bit upset too...plus I kind of lost most of my shifts for my job so~...but probably not the best thread to talk about it but...
