Just bought the tickets! 1 month and 18 days!

So after a few months of an agonizing wait I've finally bought my tickets with Lufthansa! I'll stay in Canada with her for 18 days, from December 17th to January 3rd.

The only thing that is making me nervous is the amount of stops I have to do before reaching Montreal. I'll fly from Porto to Frankfurt, then from Frankfurt to London Heathrow and then from Heathrow to Montreal, with just 1 hour and 15 minutes of connection time between each flight!! Gotta buy some running shoes!! I'm lucky they're all in the same terminal though!...

Nervous about the weather delaying or cancelling my flights, but that's always a possibility!

I am so excited for you guys! I am sure it will be fine. Meeting for the first time is so exciting and wonderful!

And the weather is uncontrollable, but it probably will be fine. And if not, you will go the day after, or a few hours later, etc etc...

Hope you will have an amazing christmas with her I will be spending my christmas with my SO aswell !!

    xx

      Yay!
With so many connecting flights, one word of advice I'd give is that when you're picking seats on the plane (if you have the option to), pick seats that are closer to the front.
When the plane lands and everyone's boarding, the people in the back will be the last to get off so you'd be standing in the back impatiently waiting to get to your next terminal.
1.25 hours is a good amount of time to find your next gate if it's in the same terminal; I've been able to make connecting flights with less than an hour in between!

Thanks for the tip, I will do that (since I'm going to do my check-in online!). That really calmed me down, I was so nervous about losing my connection flights!

I'll choose the front seat and I'll move as fast as I can (just to be really sure I won't lose it!). The flights are in the same terminal, fortunately
Once again, thanks for the tip!

If you bought from a travel agency/flight tix website where they are the one who do the flights connection for you, The airlines will know and will give you the priority. There's one time my SO connection flight was tight to each other the flight attendant called his name and give him the priority to leave first..

Anyway, enjoy your christmas with you SO.. yayy :-D

              Thanks!
I booked through an agency with Lufthansa, and since I have a Lufthansa frequent flyer membership I guess I'll have them finding me an alternative route quickly if something goes wrong. Just to be sure I selected the first seat of the first row to be able to leave the plane first!

Good luck on your trip! You don't have that much time between, that is for sure... but them being in the same terminal helps. Be aware that sometimes they start to board very early, I have experienced them boardring 50-60 minutes before the plane is about to leave, which has made me that last person to board a couple of times. So just go straight to gate each time, and check the billboards in case the gate changes. Best wishes for Christmas time with SO
I made love to him only twice, she thought and looked at the man laying asleep beside her. And yet still it is as if we have been together forever, as if he has always known my life, my soul, my body, my light, my pain
