Hello everyone. Ok so I'm new to this LDR thing. I've never talked to someone not in the same state as me. But I was browsing this site one day and started talking to this guy, we immediately told one another where we were from but still insisted on conversing. Usually that would be a red flag but it was something about him. Well long story short we've been talking everyday for a month and now the time has come for us to meet face to face. He is flying 1000 miles to come see me at my house. Any suggestions?? Anything I should look out for?? I'm so nervous and the butterflies are rolling. This might be the man of my dreams...Help I'm freaking out!!

Do not over think it. Be yourself.
Don't feel like you HAVE to do anything you aren't OK with.
Is he staying at your place? I would be hesitant of that because you haven't really known each other that long.
It may click really well and it may not too. Go with the flow!

Yes only a month and he's flying to see me kinda cute right lol??? And yes he's staying at my place. I think that's what I'm so nervous about. Like is he gonna like my spot, will he feel comfortable, will we have a connection, will he want to leave??? Just very nerve racking I've never done this before.

I think that: be yourself and don't do anything you don't feel confortable with is the best advice.
It's hard not to build super high expectations once you get all excited ahah! By reading your story it seems that you two really connect. Have the best time! X

I'm the opposite to OP, I'm going to stay with my boyfriend in his house where his mum and sister also live. But we are getting a hotel the first night for total privacy. It's our first meet as a couple, as the first time I met him wasn't a date. I didn't even know him. I feel totally comfortable staying with him. I trust him. And I have some security since I am driving down. He let me choose where to go on our first date, which I think is really cute. I just can't wait to spend time with him.

Wow that's really soon to be meeting up if you've never met in person before, and he's staying at your place? That would be way too fast for me. I like to take things slow though, I've been hurt very badly before.
I met my SO online, it was almost three years before we met in person and even though we knew each other really well, it was quite awkward at first! I dunno whether that was because we had known each other for so long and the nerves were really bad for both of us, but I'm just saying don't expect it to be totally wonderful straight away. It might be really weird. If my SO had met up with me so soon there is no way I would have let him stay at my place. He would have had to have stayed in a hotel.
