We signed the lease to an apartment on Sunday. It's such a relief. Honestly it was such a frustrating process. Do I think I ever stressed out too much over it? Nope. Toward the end of this journey, more and more apartments started to disappear from the market. Our only options were those college student houses that have like... 9 people living in them and each bedroom is a hole in the wall and their idea of decor is a couch on the front lawn with a beer pong table. I wanted somewhere he and I could feel more at home and not with a ton of people (my introversion and anxiety would suffer).

For Halloween, we didn't really do much. He was scheduled to work in the evening. His friends were having a party and he was tempted to go but by time he was off of work he was too tired, so we just watched a horror film and called it good. The next day we went to sign the lease! It almost didn't happen... as we were on our way the girl texted us and told us she was going to have to postpone the signing because something suddenly came up. We were pissed because this was the third time she had postponed the signing. So in a hungry and angry fit we went to the diner... just a block down the road from the apartment. While we were eating she texted me again asking if we could make it today. Told her yes, we went down there after we ate, and signed!

I also finally decided to just ask my boyfriend if he'd be willing to celebrate the holidays with me. He said he couldn't do Thanksgiving because he always has to work on Thanksgiving. But Christmas we could do. I told him I was going to decorate a tree, a little one. I was also going to do gift shopping and cook a dinner. Also, I have to watch a few corny Christmas movies. He made me watch corny horror films all throughout October! He was fine with it. I'm excited for Christmas now. Thanksgiving is still kind of a let down. I might see if any of the grocery stores offer pre-made or easy to prep Thanksgiving food. Since I'd have no one else to cook for I don't care too much about the quality or how home made it is. As long as it's vaguely Thanksgiving-y: Turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, dinner roll, etc. I'm sure Wegmans has prepared foods. I can even ask my boyfriend for tips since he works in the prepared food department. He can at least tell me the best day just before Thanksgiving to go.
