She was horrible on our day trip the following day, dissappearing without a word so we looked for her thinking that maybe she's lost sight and gone looking for us. When we found her it was immediatly our fault as we were to busy talking to each other to noticed she'd gone. We apologuised and said we lost sight of her but that wasn't good enough, she stormed off again. My mother and i decided to look around seperatly again even though we didnt want to just incase my sister decided to calm down and seek my mother out. We met up with a seemingly calmer sarah and decided to go to lunch at a pub nearby (Sarah had made plans weeks before the holiday that on sunday we would have a roast dinner together) sarah complained again saying it we were only doing what i wanted to do (i have a reputation for going to the pub ) she took one look at the menu and stormed out with her husband following her.... leaving there 3 children without so much as a word. We (my mom, step dad and i) sat in silence waiting for my sister and her husband to return which they did 30 minutes later. My sister was horrible to everyone for te rest of the day. Then heartbreaking happened. I stopped to get my children some ice cream, the streets were packed with people as they were having a parade. My sister refused to wait for me insisting i could catch up to them. I lost sight of them completely in the crowd but decided to carry on up the street at my own pace and if i couldnt find them after a while i had my cell phone i could call my mother and find them that way. 15 minutes had passed and my niece grabbed my arm crying her eyes out. She told me she couldnt find her mom, i hugged her and calmed her down and we all held hands as we carried on looking for the others. Expecting to find my sister in a blind panic as she'd lost her daughter. Roughly 15 minutes later i found my brother in law, eating a hot dog with one of the boys without a care in the world, my niece ran upto her dad and squeezed the life out of his leg. It occured to me at the moment with his complete none reaction to seeing his daughter that they hadnt noticed they she was missing. I was overcome with upset for my niece and pure hatred for my sister and her husband. I found my mother and asked if she could watch my son while i took my daughter to the bathroom. Coming back from the bathroom my sister was taking my niece to the bathroom. She then shoved my youngest nephew into my arms "have him will i taken her to the toilet" and then she walked off. I took a deep breath and walked back to my mother and son close to tears. My mom asked why i had brandon all of a sudden and put her arm around me as she could see i was upset. When my sister returned she snatched her son back and walked off saying she they couldne just stand there as the boys would get fussy. We followed on behind and i calmed down, vowing not to let her bad mood ruin the holiday for my children. My step dad asked someone about the parade that was getting ready to start and found out they had several marching bands in attendance and he wanted to stay and watch my mother agreed and said if we wanted to we could carry on. I used to play in a marching band in my teens and seeing them always brought back alot of happy memories and i decided to stay with them. Again my sister got upset and said she meet us at the minivan. We were all drained emotionally at the point, we watched the parade and decided we would sit somewhere and have a drink and a chat to calm down before meeting up with my sister. I told my mother what happened with my niece and she a mix of furious and disappointment. My step dad had had enough, and said sarah could do what she pleased he was going to do whatever he wanted and encouraged my mother and i to do the same. My cell ran roughly an hour after the parade had finished, it was my brother in law saying theyd been waiting for us for 30 minutes. I told them where we were and said we'd been down there shortly as my children were playing on an arcade game together. Within 10 minutes they were sat next to us, we decided to stay in the arcade for a while as my step dad had found a test your strength game and was wining loads of prize tokens. I had won some too and we decided to pool them together to get something for the kids. My sister and i took all the tokens to the both and trading them for 2 packs of cards. My sister kept a pack for herself and gave the other to my mom then walked off to find my nephew who'd ran off. My step dad asked where my prize was and i said i didnt have one as we only has enough prize tickets for 2 packs and sarah had the other one. He'd had enough and said he wanted to leave now. We agreed and headed to the minivan passing a small lucky dip stand on the way. My sister stopped and bought a few tickets but none of them winners so she carried on walking towards the van while i bought 8 tickets for my children but they didnt win either, my daughter started crying and i did my best to console her saying you can't win all the time as we started to head after the rest of the family when the stall holder called after us, giving my daughter a giant Mr Happy stuffed toy. I thanked them a million times as my daughter ran the few feet upto my mom to show her what she gotten. My sister than marched back to the stall and complained that she should also get a toy. The embarressed stall holder agreed and gave her a smaller toy so she would leave. After a long and silent drive back to our appartments, my mom, step dad and i talked over what had happened and decided that we would stay in and recover. My brother in law knocked on the door after dinner and invited my Mom and Step dad over for the evening, i wasnt even acknowledged. They agreed and i decided i would talk the kids for a walk on the beach nearby, i needed some time to think and figured if i went out on my own my sister may feel better and be in a better mood the following day.
