Before I started dating my SO, I thought I would visit only Japan, in April 2017, or February, but it wasn't decided yet. I visited there during two weeks in April 2016 and thought I would go there only, during my Spring break. The start of the relationship with my SO changed the plans, and we agreed to spend 1/3 of my first visit to her in Japan. It was my second trip to Tokyo, and her first one.

Unfortunately, we couldn't do everything we planned, due to me having caught a bad cold in the beginning of my trip in Korea. We spent some time in our small hotel room in Higashi-Jujo, a quiet area in the north of Tokyo. But we still could enjoy some places.

We had ramen for our first meal in Japan. There was this tiny ramen restaurant, in front of our hotel. There is some place for maybe two more people. After this, we took the train to go to a very popular area of Tokyo, called Shibuya.

We had a few yakitori as we were greedy. After this, Jieun wanted to eat sushi and drink sake (also known as nihonshu).

We finished the night, wandering in the streets until we were tired and took a taxi to go back to our hotel. Bad idea. Our hotel was about 15 or 20 km away from Shibuya, and the taxi ride costed about 7000 or 8000 yen (about 55 euros).

On the second day I was feeling quite worse, and we were supposed to meet with my British friend, his then-girlfriend and my French friend who live in Tokyo, for dinner and drinks. In order not to cancel the meeting, we rested in the hotel and went out at about 5 pm to arrive at Shinjuku (next to Shibuya) at about 6. The then-girlfriend of my British friend took me to a pharmacy since I had one red eye. The drops were very effective. We then went to some place to have dinner and drinks.

Find the beast, lol.

The next day was a Sunday. After having rested in the hotel in the morning, we went to Akihabara, another popular part of Tokyo, very popular for otaku stuff (manga, anime, video games, goodies).

We went to a maid café, where I already went during my first trip to Japan, called @home. The maids were nice but the desserts were a bit too sweet in our opinion. There also was an event, so most of the meals were Gudetama-shaped. (Gudetama is a fictional character, its name means lazy egg)

We then went to a big store, called Yodobashi, because my friend in France gave me a bit of money to buy her some Final Fantasy goodies and some other stuff. We saw some famous characters there..

After this, we went to Tokyo Tower, which looks like a red Eiffel Tower.. The last floor was closed due to renovation, but we still could have a nice view of Tokyo.

The next day we rested (again) the morning in our hotel room, as I still was feeling sick - my eye was getting better though. But after I insisted a bit, we went out and had a walk at Harajuku, famous for its clothing shops - Harajuku was famous for having a kind of trend of extravagant and very colorful mode in the past, though I didn't really see that the two times I went there.

We were still walking and saw Chosenji temple, between Harajuku and Shibuya. No-one else was there so it was very quiet.

After this, we went to Ikebukuro. There is a big mall, Sunshine City, in which we went to a Pokémon Store. The funny thing is that after we got out of there, we saw a guy doing a cosplay of Ash Ketchum, the main character of the animation series of Pokémon.

It was then time to say (almost) goodbye to Tokyo. Not to Japan yet, as the next day was very important to us, before heading back to Seoul.
