When my SO visited me last summer, she spent the whole month of July here. As I live one hour away from Paris, we were in my house, where I live with my parents - it was better about money. So we occasionnaly went to Paris. We didn't do many visits but we mostly walked in the streets and in popular areas. Also, we sometimes spent just the afternoon in Paris as we weren't ready to go early.

One of her first purchases : a basque beret. She now wears it in winter.

One of the most typical tourist pictures at Trocadéro. We went to Eiffel Tower a few days later, spent two hours and a half in two never-ending queues (the first one in order to check that we weren't terrorists), under 30°C.

The view on Trocadéro, the Seine river.. from the second floor. The big buildings are at La Défense.

Jieun decided we'd get these sunglasses. She took this selfie right after having bought them, at Champs-Elysées avenue.

At one expensive Parisian street. Ladurée is close to where we took this pic.

At Saint-Eustache church, in the center of Paris. We went there once again, a few days before Jieun left, for a church organ performance and a mass which followed, as Jieun is catholic and wanted to attend at a mass - it was her second one in France, after one in which I was the church organ player, in a small city close to where I live.

The church organ of Saint-Eustache church.

The Louvre Pyramid. As visiting the Louvre Museum takes more than a whole day, we decided to visit there next time Jieun comes to France.

We used to eat a late lunch.

The Senate. We were hanging at Luxembourg Gardens.

With Sainte-Geneviève, the patron saint of Paris - still at Luxembourg Gardens.

Rainy day at Notre-Dame. We didn't go there as there was a very long waiting line. It's worse now, as there are two other waiting lines (we take one of these) in order the policemen to check we're not terrorists / carrying any dangerous item.

We spent some time enjoying happy hours, hehe.

Pranking friends and family, making them believe we were in Korea. This Korean restaurant is near Opéra Garnier.

As I live one hour away from Paris, I always wanted to make sure we wouldn't go back home too late, as there are less trains in the evening - and during summer holidays - and as I had a bad experience on my way home some months earlier. But we enjoyed our time there and I'll be happy to take Jieun to some other Parisian places, hopefully next summer.

(When I put tags, a question came to my mind : who has put France sucks as a tag ? This is not really nice, even though I sometimes think like this.)
