Kristin91 is sitting right next to me lol so this blog may be co-written. Anyway, my trip has been great so far and I am currently "stranded" until tomorrow. I was supposed to fly home tonight, but my connecting flight was cancelled and I was not going to be able to get another until Monday. I have school Monday so that wasn't going to work, so I am going to be taking a 9 hour train ride tomorrow back to NY. I left early on New Years Day from NYC and flew into Philadelphia where I had an hour layover. I boarded and before I knew it, I was in Vermont. I met up with Kristin and her twin sister and we drove back to their house. Boy was it cold! But little did I know it was going to get colder lol. So, we arrived at the house around 1:30 in the afternoon and Kristin and I just chatted for a bit. We decided to watch Mean Girls, which I hadn't seen in quite awhile. It was just as funny as the million other times I saw it. xD We had some food and then we played Scattergories with her sister. (Might I add that I kicked butt! :P ) We decided to be cool kids and passed out super early hahaha!
The next morning, we had some breakfast and went to the mall. But of course, there had to be adventures prior. Her sister's car got stuck in the snow/4 inches of ice. We all had to try to push the car out in -10 degree weather and we were unsuccessful. Fortunately, some random neighbors happened to be watching this and came over and within seconds pushed the car out. (Lucky shot...we loosened it up for them haha) I bought a watch that I'd been wanting for quite awhile and I saved $50! Boo yah!
We came back to the house, had some tea and watched Juno. Then, after much debate about where to go for dinner, we went to Chili's with her boyfriend. He was so cool. After dinner, we were all a bit tipsy and decided to play the Big Bang Theory party game, which is like apples to apples. Oh the hilarity! It was so much fun. Again, I won. xDDD Today I woke up and I got a call from the airline saying my connecting flight was cancelled. So, I spent an hour on the phone with the airline and Amtrak...most of the time on hold. I got refunded for my flight and I looked up other flights to possibly fly home tomorrow and it would have cost me $420 to fly home. So, I decided to take the 9 hour train home tomorrow instead. I love trains. So, it'll be fine. At least Jim will be able to keep me company through text and Snapchat. Kristin and I went for lunch and are now just hanging out. Newt is going to come over later and I plan on dyeing my hair. So, I get a bonus day here. We've been having a great time. =]
