Well Happy New Years to everyone! I had a pretty good night, went out for sushi, a few bars, watched our local "acorn" drop (yeah I'm from the south hehe), and got a call at midnight from my SO. It was good to bring in the New Year hearing his voice (well sort of hearing... there were lots of people and fireworks, but you get the idea!)
After a brief argument we had a few days ago (posted about it in the forum) he is really intent on moving in with me ASAP. It's so exciting! He thinks he'll be able to come by the first week in February.
As for me... well I spent almost all day yesterday applying to jobs in Costa Rica. Once his visa is up here (6 months), I'm moving down there. I think it's a better fit for a few reasons:
1. I can more easily get a job down there (I'm a teacher), than him up here (engineer)
2. I would want to move to another country after this school year is up regardless. I need to live a little before "settling" down.
3. I've already lived in Costa Rica and know the atmosphere, culture, bus routes, etc.
4. He needs to be down there anyway to finish his degree.
5. I'll be with HIM
So I'll keep you all updated with any job offers I might get! I applied to teach my subject at 8 bilingual schools, and if all of those fall through I'll look into teaching English.
I haven't been so excited in a long time!!
2011 is OUR YEAR!
Sounds like you have a great plan set in place and it is all about you guys being TOGETHER! Which is awesome.
