Before my SO moved in, he was so sure that cooking, cleaning and exercising was going to be enough to pass the day. Well after just 1 week he realized that it wasn't. Good thing I had been looking for volunteer options for him all along.
Well he went for his "interview" at a Science Museum today and got the "job"! Yay! He's going to be volunteering Monday-Thursday 3 hours a day. PERFECT. Not too much, but enough to keep him busy during the day. He and I are both excited. Yay
The only problem is him driving my car. Which frankly, frightens the shit out of me. But he's gotten better.... He's having to relearn to drive using what we call here "traffic laws". They don't have any sort of that thing in Costa Rica. He's learning, but has scared the shit out of me a few times...
Yikes about the driving! I wonder if you could go by the DMV and get him a driver's manual to help him study up on the rules so he knows them better in advance of making a split-second decision. I don't know, maybe that might offend him, but if you explain that it is a good place to find all the rules and also that even people who have been driving for years and years in the USA pick them up to refresh (often, long-time drivers can develop really bad habits).
