Kind of annoying day today. My SO drives me to work and picks me up so he can use my car to go to the gym and do other things while I'm at work. Well today he took me to school and we see a huge tree has knocked down all these power lines. The school has no power, nor most of the neighborhood. Since he doesn't have a phone, I told him I would email him if I needed to be picked up early.

Well great thinking right? The power is out at the school. How can I email him?

So we put our little hoodlums (students) all in the dark auditorium while we wait for word from downtown that we can send them home. Well smart me I left my phone in my classroom, and it was going on an hour we had been waiting. So I use someone else's phone to call my mom and ask her to email my SO and tell him NOT to go to the gym until he hears from me again because I'll need to be picked up. He goes to the gym for like 2 hours at a time.

Finally the kids get to leave and I go to get my stuff and call my mom and ask her to again email my SO and tell him to come get me and for her to call me or text me when he emails back so I know he got it (and is not at the gym).

Well about 45 minutes go by and I don't hear from my mom. So I figure my SO is at the gym and I go out to lunch with my co workers. While waiting for a table I call my mom and ask if my SO has written back yet and she says "Yeah he wrote that he was coming to get you like 45 minutes ago." I was like "WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME AND TELL ME?" ugggggghhhhhhhhhh So I must have JUST MISSED HIM when I left.

My SO somehow found a phone (he told me later he went into the gym and asked to use their phone) and called me and I said I'd get a ride home.

Anyways it was just really frustrating and I went home all mad and as soon as I saw him I yelled "YOU'RE GETTING A PHONE TOMORROW". Ugh. Track phones are cheap and since we share a car he needs one.

What an annoying day...
