Atheist in a Catholic School

I have some interviews for teaching positions coming up this week and next. I really want to get a job not only for money reasons, but because I feel so lazy not having on. The closest school, and the one that will most likely pay the most, is a Catholic school. I'm an atheist. My SO says I should just lie about my beliefs. But I don't know how I feel about that. I also don't know what will be required of me. If I have to attend mass or teach creationism (I'm a sci teacher) or something. I just don't want to do that.

Has anyone here ever been to a Catholic/religious school before? Could you tell me a little about it? Or is lying about my beliefs a terrible thing to do? Any ideas? Input? Etc?

  My sister went to a catholic school and I went to a nondenominational christian school. At both of our schools, once a week everyone [students, teachers, etc] would have to attend a service during school hours. There was also a lot of religious talk, which I'm sure if you are an atheist you may not be comfortable with.
  
  I don't think lying would be such a bad thing, but I don't think overall you would feel comfortable there.

  From my understanding, creationism--especially the teaching of creationism in schools--is almost exclusively an American thing, so, I don't think you have to worry too much in that regard. I would try to suss out how much the school emphasizes religion in the interview and go from there. I feel your pain, though, I don't think I'd ever want to teach in a religious school.

  I went to a Catholic school. I am an atheist. As a student I sat through religious education classes and through the masses and stuff. As a teacher I believe yes you would be required to attend the masses they have. We didn't have them often, just for special occasions but yeah. In terms of being a science teacher.. You should just be required to teach the normal science curriculum - physics, chem, bio, whatever your specialty is. I don't think you should lie about your beliefs though. I actually really loved going to my school even though I didn't believe it's teachings. My Dad teaches at a Catholic school and I guess well he does believe but our family aren't really practicing Catholics.
