So the English teacher here is all unhappy for whatever reason and has decided to quit mid-year to go to another school. I hate that she's doing this. I mean our school is super tiny. We have a total of 8 classrooms, and like 14 total teachers (including music and pre-school teachers). I'm the only other native English speaker in the school and I just know they're going to ask me to cover her classes. But I don't want to. I don't care if they pay me more. In fact, I'd rather have half days every day and get paid less. I hate working.
I don't know, I just feel like giving less than 2 weeks notice is a pretty shitty way to leave a really small school. But oh well.. I guess.
It's not a very professional thing to do really. Despite having personal (or work-related) problems she shouldn't leave the school in trouble. Itäs the kids that will suffer from it.
I lauhed when you said the school is super tiny - only 8 classrooms and 14 teachers? My daughters' school has 4 classrooms and 4 teachers and they teach 2 grades at the same time in the same classrooms! Wacky innit?
