I have nothing to write about, but I also have nothing to do. Well I have plenty to do. I want to make some applesauce, and I promised my SO I would finally shave my legs today- it's been at least a month now. Okay, so I guess that's two things. Anyways.
Yesterday I went to pick up my SO and he asked if I wanted to get a movie. Of course! So one of the greatest things about CR is there is no Blockbuster or any other movie rental place. Everything is pirated. Everything. Even if you wanted to be ethical, you couldn't. So you can call and ask them to burn you a copy of some movie. They usually get the movies quite early, too. For example yesterday we picked up Man of Steel. So, since you don't have to pay for "rights" or anything, it's super cheap. We got 6 DVDs yesterday for $8. Sweet. And that's buying. If you wanted to rent, it's even cheaper.
After the movie store my SO decided to drive by this bar he goes to all the time to see who was there. He saw a few friends and asked if I wanted to go in. Umm, duh! We went in and hung out with some of his work friends. By the time we left, they were all complimenting me on how good my Spanish is. They were saying they barely even notice an accent anymore. It made me feel all special and stuffs When we got home my SO said "now they'll know why I married you!" awwwwwwwww
We watched "Seven Psychopaths" A movie I had never heard of, but evidently got good reviews. I really enjoyed it. It wasn't the best movie ever, but it was quite entertaining. It was quirky, funny and violent. And Colin Ferrell spoke with his Irish accent so it was great!
On Thursday my SO and I skyped with my mom and some of my family back home. My whole family is from upstate NY and my mom was going back up for a town festival they have every year. She stopped at my family's (my dad's brothers and sisters) house to say hi. While we were talking they mentioned their Oktoberfest they do every year. Well, I have a week off in October! So my SO and I might be flying up to hang out with them that week. We have to figure out details and stuff, but I'm hopeful!
Check out all the mangoes on my neighbor's tree! There's another tree closer and the other day I went to grab one. It was giant and beautiful looking. Unfortunately, bugs had eaten the inside This tree is too far away and I can't get to any of those mangoes!!! Those neighbors are moving so all those mangoes will go to waste! Well not really, the animals will eat them!
Costa Rica- the land of free mangoes
Off to shower and make applesauce! Have a good day!

Unfortunately for me, they sell you movies that are pirated from the French Canadian versions (no option of getting English-speaking movies in their original language, has to be dubbed in French) and the accents are just terrible. So I download my own movies

Well, they don't subtitle the kid's movies. Europe is totally into dubbing and I can't stand it! Even if the original language isn't English, I prefer with subtitles.
