Scrappy doo anyone?

(pre-warning, this is a boring blog)

Anyways. I'm freaking out over flying with my dog. I know she'll be fine, I know she'll be fine. But I'm still freaking out.

Last Monday we went and got her checked out by the vet. We had to pay $100 for her exportation papers! Sheesh! I had also noticed a while before she had this big bump on her lip, but I didn't want to say anything to the vet because we needed her good health papers. So on Saturday we went to another vet to get it checked out. Turns out it was an abscess and they gave her an antibiotic shot and an 8 day regime. Which cost us another $100. (My SO is all pissed, he says we have the most expensive street dog in the world. ) But I'm glad we did it here because I know it'd be way more expensive in the USA.

Took the puppy running this morning. Hope to take her this afternoon as well, if the rain holds off. And then tomorrow morning before the flight. So hopefully she'll be exhausted and just sleep the whole flight. She'll have to be in the crate about 12-13 hours.

I'm printing out information to put on her crate. Things like "HELLO! MY NAME IS PERLITA!", "CAUTION! LIVE ANIMAL!", our phone numbers, and flight numbers, in both Spanish and English. Need to buy some of those gross puppy pee pads to put in the bottom of the crate. And I'm going to put in her blanket too. I'm worried my tropical pup will be cold on the flight! Gotta see if I can buy some dog bowls to attach to the crate door.

In other news I'm really crossing my fingers for a CASE COMPLETE for our visa this week. That means the NVC is done with our application and it gets sent to the US embassy here where we get an interview date. I contacted my senator about the bullshit checklist I got, and she requested a supervisor review on my case. This lady is awesome. After I was finally approved from the USCIS stage I wrote her a really nice email telling her thank you and how much I appreciated her. Glad I did, because I need her again!

So yeah- tomorrow wish good wishes for my puppy. And this week wish good wishes for a case complete for us!
