I think!

My SO got a call from the company today! He wasn't supposed to hear from them until next week at the earliest but they called him because they really liked him and don't want him to go to another company.

Also, there's another position open in the company- a mechanical designer position. (The position he's applying for is field engineer) Evidently the design department got hold of his resume and now THEY want him too! The lady asked my SO if he would like to apply to that position as well because they were really impressed with his resume and work. The design department wants him, but they said they don't want to make the hiring guy mad for stealing my SO away from him. He said he'll wait to hear back from this original guy (who should contact him next week). The lady said that if for any reason that job doesn't work out, definitely apply for the design position.

I asked him if both jobs paid the same, which would he want. He said he'd prefer the traveling job, it does seem pretty damn awesome. I asked if the design position paid more which would he want, he said he'd follow the money.

So yeah, still no "yes you have the job!" but something pretty exciting all the same!!!

Also, we've been talking a lot about staying in my mom's house. We've decided to stay for at least the remainder of the school year (June) if everything stays good. And maybe even for longer, if everything stays good. I don't really like it because as a USA-er we get told that living with your parents after 18 is lame. And I get that. But we're deciding to stay, I think there's a difference? I know we'll want our own place eventually, but shit, I can only imagine how much money we'll save living with them for a year. I can't even think about how much we'll save if we live here two years!

We get along really well and make a damn good team. Like the other day I had a tough day at work and I was sooo happy that when I got home my mom was there to make dinner! If it had been my SO & me, it would have been take out for sure. My SO helps clean the house, I take care of all my mom's plants and animals when they're gone. We split groceries. My mom's husband pays the bills. We make dinner on the weekends. Shit, it's great.

So, good things!!!
