I told you it'd happen!
I am looking to bounce some fashion stuff off you guys.
In another two weeks I'm going to a wedding. I'm pretty psyched about it. I kind of love weddings (that have booze) and this is going to be a fancy one. They're having it in the fanciest of chapels that my town offers and I'm so excited. It's sooo beautiful.
So I'm trying to decide what to wear. The attire is "cocktail". I have these dresses, all worn to previous weddings:
This one was the one I was leaning towards. I think it's classy but still sexy. The cons- I don't really have shoes that match nor a cover up (I like looking good but I'm still a southern belle, I know to cover up in church! ). It's also past my knees so it's difficult to dance in.
I wore this to my second wedding. I love this dress but I think it's over the top for someone else's wedding. I recently wore it to a NYE party which I think is more suitable.
I love this dress! It's really comfortable and clingy and sexy but still conservative. I have a pair of shoes that go pretty well with it. The only con- I feel like I have over worn this dress. I love it, but I'm looking to wear something new. Also since this is a spring wedding I'm not sure a long sleeved black dress is the way to go.
Worn to my mom's wedding (I'm on the left). Not quite "cocktail" in my opinion.
Wore this as Minnie recently. I love this dress, but it's short I usually wear it with pants underneath. My SO hates it for some reason.
And finally- I made this dress. It's a lot of fun but I think it's a little juvenile for a fancy wedding.
Sooo... since I'm not super pleased with anything I have I've looked into "rent the runway" and found these two dresses.
This one I really like. It's not "sexy" but I think it's pretty. I'm worried about fit (I feel like that loose fit only looks good on small frames) and color (I never look good in light skin tone things). I also don't have any shoes that would look great, but I think I could pull it off with a pair of black shoes.
I love this one, but I worry it's too sexy. Also worry about length. It looks great on that model but I have some "ass"ets that make short dresses even shorter.
Thoughts? Any of these good? Should I scratch them all? I've never used RTR before but I've heard good things so...
