My SO and I have decided to move out. Not yet, but soon. I've been having issues with my parents so I think it's time. Where we move depends on where I get a job. I have some options. One would be to stay in the district where I already work, possibly even at the same school. Another option would be to move to the city to the east where my SO works. The final option would be to work in the city to the west which would mean we need to stay in our current city so we're in the middle. I think my best option (besides my current city which is always dying for teachers) is the city to the west. I'm especially excited because I think they have bilingual middle schools there. I think that sounds awesome. That city is having an invite-only job fair for Math & Science positions. I got an invite
I'm also signed up for a job fair in the city to the east, but I hear it's a madhouse. So I don't think I have quite as good of a chance there. We'll see how it turns out.I've been looking into some apartments, I want something with either a fenced in yard or a screened in porch. This is the south, we're into porch sittin' and the mosquitoes are ruthless in the summer. I've found a couple places with screened in porches and only one place with a fenced yard. I also briefly looked into renting a house, but we still like apartment living. I don't know that we're ready for house responsibility yet. We'll see.
Unfortunately I got demoted for my summer position. I was supposed to be head coach for the team but now I'll just be an assistant. My mom will be head coach. I'm still glad to have a job lined up but I'll be making way less money which stinks. At least I'm doing these math tutoring classes after school that are a nice extra paycheck.
Bought my tickets to Switzerland! Yehaw! I'll be going with a high school friend. I've never traveled with her before but I'm excited. I think we'll have fun. And if she gets on my nerves I'll just ditch her ass
