Okay, so this past weekend was absolutely wonderful. We had a fantastic time together - and I can only hope that this weekend was a glimpse of what married life with him will be like.

Friday was wonderful. I got in and we went to a nice restaurant for dinner and we had an excellent time. Awesome food, too! We decided that if we end up in that area, that restaurant is definitely a date night option. We stayed up late talking and cuddling on the couch and it was just... all sorts of happy.

Saturday was very busy - but very very good. We met with our caterer and picked out our table linens. He's going to send us menu selections and pricing this week, then we'll sign that contract and give them a deposit. Then we went to try cakes flavors.... oooohmygosh, delicious. We decided on 5 different flavors (we're having cupcakes!): red velvet with a cream cheese frosting (which is also going to be our cutting cake), blueberry muffin with cream cheese frosting, cherry cheesecake (yes, in cupcake form!!), lemon (with a lemon frosting and lemon filling!, it was surprisingly delicious), and gluten-free vanilla. We're going to have mini cupcakes and regular sized cupcakes... 350 cupcakes in total. (Cupcake madness!!!)

After cake we grabbed lunch with a friend and then went to our reception venue so I could see it. I didn't have any doubts about it before, but now it's just absolutely wonderful. It really fits with what we want for the reception (laid back, casual, party atmosphere) and will keep the guests moving around. The venue's wedding coordinator is aaaaaamazing. He was so friendly and helpful - and all I'll have to do is give him all of our vendors' information and he'll talk to them before the wedding to set up when they can come in and get organized. Thank goodness! He'll stick around for the first half of our reception, then sneak out.

We then got to get pictures taken! They're engagement/we-don't-have-many-pictures-of-us pictures. It was so freaking cold (20 degrees!) but so much fun. After wards we had to stop by Starbucks to thaw out, though After we regained our fine motor skills (our fingers wouldn't move) we went to the jewelry store and I got my ring inspected and we looked at bands for him. (There's a custom band for my ring that matches the twist in the band, they didn't have it available, though.)

Sunday was church in the morning, then we met with our photographers (who are amazing, btw) and then our DJ. The photographers we're going with are actually friends of his family, and I love their work (since we're connected via family, and they love his parents, they're even giving us last year's rate, which saves us $160!). Overall, a wonderful weekend.

Did you really think I wasn't going to share some of the pictures with you? We got a couple for preview pictures yesterday night. She said she'll probably have the rest done within a week since she wasn't too busy. I won't post all of them, I don't want to bore you. But here are some pretty good ones.
