I think you'll all appreciate this, so it's why I'm sharing. There's a picture, so you're going to have to deal with some of my rambling first. Let's see... Oh! I know! I ordered new work khaki pants from OldNavy last week. They were on sale, and then I had a 20% off code, so I ended up getting them for like, $14. But that's not the really exciting part. The REALLY exciting part is that for over the past year I've been stuck in ON size 10 short (for those of you who are just as confused as I am by American women's sizing... 10 Short at ON is: waist 29", hips 40", inseam 30"). WELL. THESE pants I ordered, on a whim, size 8 petite. Size 8 short would be 28" waist, 39" hips, 30" inseam. Size 8 petite are the following measurements: 27 1/2" waist, 38 1/2" hips, 29 1/2" inseam.

So I pulled these pants on last night because I just got them, since OldNavy is dumb and doesn't sell the petite or short sizes in most stores. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway. The first thing I noticed is that they're still a bit too long. And then I realized, wait a minute. They're a bit too long......... BUT ALSO THEY FIT ME. I didn't have to squeeze my fat butt into them or anything. They're not the most flattering pants in the world, but they're work pants and since I walk around the construction site regularly, I don't want them to be very flattering, lol. The cat calls are zero to like, one, but I know they are watching me when I walk away. Whatever. I've gotten really good at ignoring it.

So the real reason I'm blogging, besides to brag on the fact that I've lost at least 1.5" around my waist and hips:

Totally not noticeable, right? My first dress fitting appointment is this evening at 5:30, and it takes about 40 minutes to get there from work. 20 minutes to go from work to home, plus about 35 minutes to go from home to the alterations place. So my dress (and veil and underthings and shoes) are all hanging out with me in my office today. I wonder if the guys will notice if I wear my shoes around the trailer. Probably not. It's taking all my power not to go and oogle it right now. Sigh. YAY MY DRESS WILL FINALLY FIT MEEEEEEEEEEE. I better go do actual work now since I'm leaving early today...
