Things have been going pretty well for me. Today is pay day so woot, money!
Even though over half of it is already gone to bills. Being paid monthly is no fun but my budgeting as improved. And definitely have gotten better in making that dollar stretch (especially the week before pay day). But I am excited that I am getting this month's summer school pay (an extra 2k) in July's paycheck instead of August's. This means I can buy my ticket to see my SO a month sooner and avoid those outrageous overprices.Speaking of my SO, I'm getting a letter every other day, so yay for somewhat regular contact again! Though yesterday's letter seemed a rather depressing one. Kinda upsets me that they are so secluded during basic training. One of the things he was ranting about was not knowing any news from the 'outside world'. I would at least had thought they were given access to the newspaper or a radio. My poor Pooks....just wanted to hug him extra tight after that letter.
Kinda crazy that June is almost over. And July is going to be hectic busy for me with finishing up summer school, my daughter's birthday, and then two weeks of workshops, so that's going to fly by. And then August is my birthday, and prepping for the new school year. So it will seem before I know it, it'll be that last week of August and I'll finally be in Georgia to see my SO. So yay! ^-^
Seems like this month has just drug on, but maybe that's just me lol

And yes, it's going much faster now that I have communication from him. That first month dragged. Thing that sucks is that his basic is longer than 'normal' (16 weeks vs. 10 weeks). So it's longer than normal ;-;
