Well the wedding day finally came after a long 14 months of planning in advance. One of the most special things was using my dads Ute as the wedding car. He had it restored but got too sick to enjoy it. He gave it to my husband and I, so we are determined to enjoy it for him. It felt nice having something he enjoyed being part of our day.
My dad also wrote a father of the bride speech 8 days before he died. I had it sealed and it was read out on the day. Emotional but so very special.
The weather was very foggy beforehand but it seemed to clear enough to create some great pictures.
We did all the decorations ourselves and flowers which I think were pretty good considering.
I’m not a girly girl but I still managed to incorporate the real me in the day, which you’ll see in the pics.
So after 4.5 years LD and 5 years together we finally got to have our special day. And it was perfect!

I AM BLOWN AWAY how amazing everything looks! I cannot believe you did this all by yourself that is just FANTASTIC!!
I LOVE all the pictures ♥♥♥
The photographer was a friend of my dad’s and did the photos for free. He specialises in car and motor bikes and hadn’t done a wedding before. I think he did a brilliant job with them.
All in all, including our 1 week honeymoon , the whole thing cost just under $10,000. So there is quite a bit of money to be saved getting married in winter.
