Well, I had wanted to get a double spiral/ double helix piercing for a long time. Since the first time I ever saw it. After getting my conch pierced and my brand new tattoo, I figured it was just time to go and do it. I had ordered the earring when I got my tattoo, and had put a $15 deposit on it to hold the piece for me. When it finally came in I didn't have any time that week to go and do it. So, my first free day the following week (and moms too since she was coming to get a cartilage piercing too) I went right after work.

When we got there we ended up waiting for about a half hour as Alison worked her way through her line of people. She recognized me and my mom bc we've been there so much over the last few months. As soon as we were in, she got right in to it. My moms was simple, quick needle through the ear into the cork, sub earring and done. Now mine...that was a little more complicated.

It a double helix, which is two piercings at once. But the earring is a spiral; So she had to pierce, then feed the spiral into the first hole, then pierce the second hole, then feed the earring the rest of the way in. Normally, I'm the perfect picture of pain tolerance...this time, I was sitting on my hands. And it wasn't even the feeding of the spiral into the newly pierced holes! I had forgotten once upon a time I had a cartilage piercing up there, and I let it close up. So, she pierced through the old scar tissue. ZOMG DID IT HURT!!!!

She kept asking me if I was ok, and of course I was, but wow! Well, Blood, no tears, and a super red ear later. My double spiral was done! Alison even took a pic and posted it on her facebook today. I was kinda surprised to log onto facebook and see my ear on my wall lol! After the drama I ended up arguing price with her after it was said and done bc one of the guys that works there never recorded that I had left that deposit towards the earring. I found my receipt and she gave me $15 out of her pocket bc she felt bad. Anyways, happy to report that it doesn't hurt at all now. Honestly my Conch hurts more bc it has a blood blister on the back that I am salt soaking, peroxiding away atm. lol!

Here is the finished product!
