Well, despite the excitement caused by the new apartment and moving that's happening next week Charles and I still continued with our vacation. On Monday we drove down to Hershey, PA. We had this planned for at least a month and a half, so even though I suggested canceling it he persuaded me otherwise.

Sunday and Monday were a bit rough. Charles has started working at the NY Renaissance Fair in Sterling Park for the summer. It means he's working every single weekend til the end of September. Which is great bc of the extra money, but it leaves little time for anything else. Including things that had to get done, laundry and packing etc. Sunday I went home to pack my extensive amounts of crap from my room, so I was busy too. Anyway, this meant we had a lot of stuff to do and no time to do it in on Monday before we left. Getting up early did not start our day off right. Both of us are kind of lazy. We love to sleep in late together when we can bc it never happens. He works at 4am most mornings. He woke us up at 830am to get us rolling. I dawdled in bed as long as I could. Finally I got up and we started everything we had to do, wash and clean out his car, laundry, pack. Throughout this he was irritable and snippy.

Its taken me a while to realize how my moods operate, but one thing that can put me in one hell of a shitty mood is getting snipped at constantly and being made to feel stupid. I don't know if this is normal or not, but it seems to be how I roll. When it happens, I get quiet and distant. It's pretty obvious I'm upset. Well, he accomplished all of this before we left around 430pm. Not a good start to the vacation. I guess within a half hour of the ride I shook off the upset feeling and just started having fun on the car ride.

He filled that first half of the 4 hour drive to PA with Disney songs.....Yes Disney songs. Songs from Hercules, the entire Lion Kind soundtrack, and some random tunes like "A Whole New World", and "Reflection". We do the whole duet things like the dorks we are lol. So, we got to the hotel around 8. Apparently us having a hotel room to ourselves got his blood pumping and we kind of spent the first half hour messing up both the beds in our room (shhhhhh). Somehow we ended up with two beds even though we only wanted one, oh well. We had originally planned to go to Hershey Park and take advantage of their after 5:30 plan (buy tickets for the following day get in for the last couple hours of the park for free), but we decided instead to stay in and order pizza. BIG mistake. The pizza (from Papa Johns) was good, but he ordered extra cheese. Not good for digestion, not good at all. After we had digested and settled in we took a drive to Target to buy some snacks and drinks for the hotel room, and so he could peruse the Nerf section for the new Zombie series of guns. He happily found one, which required several phone calls to HVZ friends to brag.

When we got back to the hotel, he had to test this new gun out. Since we are alone in the hotel.....I became his target..../sigh. The new episode of Teen Wolf, two episodes of Rediculousness and we were passed out. Only to wake up bright and early the next day. Once again, I did not want to get out of bed. I'M ON VACATION!!! I WANT TO SLEEP!! lol! He went down to the lobby and picked up some of the free intercontinental breakfast for us. He's so sweet sometimes. We ate, we showered and we were out the door off to our first day at Hershey Park.

We parked in a really good spot, like a really good spot. Right across from Chocolate World. This was my first time here so, I had to take in the sights. I don't take a lot of pictures but there are a few. First thing we did was measure ourselves against the height boards. I was a Twizzler and he was a Jolly Rancher. I will never live that name down. He spent the next two days calling me his cute little Twizzler. UGH!

Honestly I would go into detail about what we did all day, but honestly we spent the day wandering around from arcade to arcade from game booth to game booth winning an obnoxious amount of stuffed animals. He won a Ginormous pink and purple Hershey bear from the ring toss booth, and giant purple minion. I won about 10 animals from the claw machines in the arcade. I was kind of on a roll. Until we went to this car driving track. Charles made yet another mistake and let me carry the bag...with the drinks attached to it. I got about half way around the track and realized my ass was Soaked in Pepsi. So, I became his cute little Pepsi assed Twizzler. We went on the kissing tower, so pretty, the view was amazing!. When we got off I complained about my wet ass, so he got me paper towels to shove in my pockets. It was kind of funny. At the end of the day we ended up in Chocolate world. We took the free tour, and got our only free piece of chocolate of the day. We got some iced cream and a milk shake and finally....after 3 trips to the car, went to Wal-mart. For a new pair of shorts...lol!

The next day was much of the same....except he won a Giant cow. I won another handful of stuffed animals. I won a giant ball from the giant claw machine making Charles all sort of proud. I later gave that ball to a kid in zooamerica bc he was commenting how he wanted one, but his parents weren't sure they could find or afford to play for it. ANYWAY this day we went to the water park. It was 76 degrees out...I did not want to go swimming. Charles on the other hand really really wanted to. I hadn't worn my suit to the park bc I assumed he would come to the same conclusion I did. IT WAS TOO DAMN COLD!! So, I had to buy a suit from the beach shop on the boardwalk. We did all the fun things, the water slides, the big bucket that dumps, the lazy river. The lazy river...omg he spent the whole time pushing me under the wet jets...like I wasn't cold enough! He did the tidal board ride, I was told I couldn't ride bc of my piercing, the double spiral. I don't get why, its the same as if I had two cartilage rings on my ear, but whatever. We went on the log ride twice! I screamed like a child when we got drenched in water, but it was fun. Then Finally we got dressed. We took a walk through ZooAmerica, and did a few more rides.

More gaming, 2 more trips to the car...including a nap. We went to Hershey Place for dinner, I made Charles get a picture with the giant Kit Kat...lol. Afterwards it was time for quality time and dropping lots of money at Chocolate world. We did the chocolate tasting...which was kind of a waste of money. You get like 5 pieces of chocolate, you eat them, you watch a video, and you get a graduate certificate. I was also forced to eat dark chocolate...I hate dark chocolate, it's too bitter for me. I game most of it to Charles. We also did the create your own chocolate bar, which was awesome. You pick a base (milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or white chocolate), then you pick a topping (we went with toffee, semisweet chocolate morsels, almonds, and pretzels). We then watch the bar get made, cooled, and packaged. So cool! We even got to design our labels.

After all that fun we dropped a ton of money in the candy shop on stuff for our family and friends, then said goodbye to Hershey Park.

The next morning...we took one last advantage of the privacy, packed up and left the hotel with a shit ton of bags filled with stuffed animals and chocolate. We got back this afternoon, wishing we had never left, and we hadn't spent soo much money. But it was kind of worth it...it was so much fun.
