Yes, my visa was approved and in record time!
I am so incredibly happy. I was nervous to check the first week, so the boyfriend did. No answer by then... it was week #1 of the 6-8 they said it would take.
On that week, my mom got her passport back with her Schengen visa stamped on it, 8 days after she applied -tourist visas normally take 8 days-. She of course was happy, but later she told me her happiness wasn't completed yet, and that it would only be completed when I get a positive answer regarding my visa. -she was afraid of missing her connecting flight in Paris, not being able to understand what the immigration officers ask her or just getting lost-

This week I was feeling braver and was checking everyday. The boyfriend and I have webcam day on Wednesdays. Right after we finished, I decided to check the embassy's website. The document with the visa decisions looks like this

You can use some commands to find your code faster. I decided to scroll down instead. I can't even describe they way I felt when I saw my code and a + right next to it. I really have no words. I couldn't believe it, so I checked the receipt with the code, to make sure it was real and not a dream, and that it indeed, was my code. Yes, it was!!!

I didn't care the boyfriend had just gone to bed. I messaged him right away, telling the good news. his first word was: "Jaaaaaaa" then we exchanged a couple of messages, full of happy smileys and kisses and just more happiness, excitement, etc.
Later he went back to sleep and I went to tell my mom the good news. I hugged her tight and told her: "My visa was approved!" she screamed of happiness and gave thanks. Her happiness is now completed, so is mine :-) No more worries, no more nothing!

The countdown has started. 37 days until we temporarily close the distance, until I get to kiss and hug the boyfriend again, until this new adventure together begins. I really can't wait!

Besides my german classes, meeting the boyfriend's family; many plans and nice things like these await for me in Germany:

A jar full of surprises and activities to enjoy as couple: trips to nearby areas, cooking together days, movie nights, trips to farer but nice and interesting places, nights out, lazy days, etc. There is also a special ticket inside. The boyfriend calls it "the super ticket". It's red and I am very curious about what's written on it. I have tried, but he won't tell me!

A part of a wall in his apartment with pictures of places we visited together in Barcelona and Colombia. With the possibility of adding some more of future trips and memories together. Love him!

The Big Bang theory's seasons 1,2,3. He bought them specially for us to watch together. We don't watch that much TV, but the BBT is a show we both enjoy.

I am muy happy and still surprised because this visa was approved in record time. Everywhere I read, people were saying their process had taken the exact 8 weeks. Mine took 2!! I am happy because of what it means to the boyfriend and I, because of the other reasons I mentioned above and because I had taken the risk of buying the tickets even before going to the interview. That was a huge and expensive risk. But now I am glad I won't loose the thousands dollars I paid

On a side note, today (July, 24th) exactly one year ago I returned from Barcelona. Amazing how time flies. They were two wonderful years, many things learned, many dreams came true, I met the one who is now my boyfriend and I gained many more friends.
The boyfriend says we should go back and visit. I'd love to, so we will see...
