I'm happy to announce the boyfriend and I closed the distance 2 weeks ago.
I meant to write a blog post earlier, but I have been very busy, sick and tired.

On September 2nd, I woke up to my iPod letting me know that the closing the distance countdown was over. In some hours - really a lot!- I was going to see my honey again and this time for a longer period of time.

I wasn't traveling alone. My mom was coming along, to attend my brother's graduation in the Netherlands and also for a 2 weeks Eurotrip with him.

The journey started quite early. First a 50 mins flight to the capital around 9:25am. Then a long wait at the airport because our flight to Paris wasn't until 17:30. The international terminal is quite new, so we took that time to explore it, buy some stuff, get lunch and relax.

We left Bogota in time. I was a bit disappointed by AirFrance. Well, by their entertainment system, seats and food to be more precise. It was my first time traveling with them and I was expecting more. I still find Avianca and Lufthansa ES/Food to be "better" and their sets are comfier.

It was a 10+ hours flight. I couldn't really sleep because the two guys seating next to me were talking all the time. Annoying!
We landed in Paris and after 3 1/2 hours, we took our connecting flight to Amsterdam. I was literally a Zombie. Good thing the flight to Amsterdam was a short one. I needed to be fine because I was meeting the boyfriend there! I was so tired, but happy and nervous at the same time.

At the baggage claim, we were able to see the people waiting outside. My mom was trying to find my brother and I was trying to find the boyfriend while waiting by the belt. We saw my brother first, he had this big smile on his face awww.
We got our luggage and out we went. When the doors opened, the first person I saw was my handsome and lovely boyfriend!!! Damn, how I missed him!. I walked to him and we hugged really tight, kissed and he lifted me up and held me close against him. I forgot about everything else for some seconds.
He then greeted my mom and I introduced him to my brother. We all talked a bit, I got some stuff out of my mom's suitcase (yes, again my suitcase was heavier than what is allowed) and I said goodbye to my mom and brother.

The journey was still not over for me There were still about 4 more hours left by car to reach my final destination. The boyfriend drove and I was his copilot :-)
It was good because during these 4 hours we reconnected, laughed, held hands, blew kisses and so on. The boyfriend was all the time telling me how happy he was to have me there. We missed each other so so much.

We got home around 22:00hrs. I couldn't see that much of the city because it was already dark and at that point all I wanted was to take a hot shower and sleep. Plus, I had to get up super early the next day because I had to go to my german classes in Hannover - I had missed the first 4-, which meant a 40 minutes train ride. Fun, huh?

To be continued...
