I need spring break so badly. I've been working really hard in school and sticking to a strict schedule while squeezing in time to take care of myself. I feel like a zombie some days and I come home exhausted.
I want spring break to be relaxing and fun. Too bad I can't afford to go somewhere warm. I'm trying to make the best of it, despite not having much money towards making it happen.
I would love to do something active and fun with my SO but I don't see it happening. He spends all his time on his couch in front of his many screens. Planning to do something would fall completely on me. I would feel like I'm forcing him to do whatever and that's if he agreed.
Though this may be true, in the past if I go have a good time with other people he complains. I'm not sure how you can do active things with someone that's not interested.
My prediction is that when I visit him over break it will be the same watch shows/movies, some sex, and watch him play video games like always. It is nice seeing him, of course, but I don't want to waste any vacation time I have...

#3ThePiedPiper commentedMarch 3, 2013, 11:13 AMEditing a commentDoes he live in an area where it'd be feasible to go out without a plan? Change it up. Go out and spend a day without videogames or TV. You don't have to have a plan but make one up as you go along. There can be a couple goals, maybe trying something new, learning something new about each other, seeing something you never thought you'd see or that you saw differently, for example, but maybe the plan could be to... not have one? Sometimes it can be fun saying "no technology today, and we're going out!" and seeing how the day unfolds.

#4TriniCherryPrincess commentedMarch 3, 2013, 03:46 PMEditing a commentThat sounds like fun, to not have a plan. He very much lives in an area where something is always happening not too far away. He doesn't like "pointless" trips though. I would have to have some kind of idea of what to do. You have given me a thought though... Maybe we can explore an area I've never been to before. Thanks for the advice!
