Sorry Lucybelle, this blog isn't going to have pictures in it. I didn't take any, for some reason. If you don't count the hundreds band pictures from the festival, of course

So I have been back from Germany for four days now, and I'm back to my regular routine. Post-visit funk is much easier to shake off when you were together just a weekend, I think. Doesn't mean that all is fine and dandy, though. Work is being a major bitch. Had been for several weeks now and it kinda ruined the last days leading up to the visit (we had a trial audit the day before my trip and I couldn't even think of being with him while that was going) and continues to be so. I managed to get upset about work in the middle of the festival we were attending, for crying out loud!

But anyways. I left on Thursday at 1:25 pm. My father and I left home quite early, but since he insisted on getting gas before we properly set off to the airport, we wasted about an hour and made it there only 30 mn before check-in ended. And that took a while too because I don't know why people can't just travel with on suitcase. I mean I understand when you have a large family such things take a while, but it's still annoying having to wait all this while. And then once I was at the game, turns out they added another security check right before boarding! Because that is entirely necessary, right? I mean they are basically admitting they don't do a proper job at the first security check! So that meant boarding took a while and we were a few minutes late. But the flight was OK, despite having a very annoying woman with very rude children sitting behind me (the kind who kick at the back of your seat) and a guy next to me who tried to start up a conversation a couple of times. At some point the lady behind me asked me to hold her baby while she went to the bathroom, though, and that was nice because the baby was so adorable and quiet!

Anyway, Timo was waiting for me at the exit and we headed to the train station and waited there for a couple hours, so we could properly catch up. We made it to Würzburg in time and headed to our hostel which was right in front of the main station (a nice change from our usual hotel, which was quite a long walk away). I had booked us a table at this supposedly great restaurant downtown so there we went. It was very crowded and warm inside. Naturally service was a bit slow but the atmosphere was great. Since were were celebrating our wedding anniversary (albeit 11 days late) I insisted on ordering champagne, which was served before our starters (yummy creamy wine soup <3) and I started drinking before eating, having kinda forgotten that my
