You can get away with whatever you want for dishes. Just something to note if you're planning on getting married soon, I'd hold off on purchasing both sets. Dishes are an AWESOME thing to add to a registry.

I didn't even think of that!!! Thank you At the moment, marriage hasn't come up, but I think it's in the air. But I'll have plastic ware and pots and pans from college, so we can hold off for a year or so.
