Desperated to be able to close the distance

    Hi all,

I am a little bit desesperated...How could we close the distance ? Both, have already a job in our country and it is not easy to enter and live in a country without a job, and find a job when you are a stranger, harder...I dont see any way to make it true...It makes me sad.
What can we do ? How it was for you ? Tell me your experience...maybe it could give me some hope again.
    Cheers.

As desperated as you are to close the distance there is a lot of things to consider. Where do you live? It isn't impossible to close the distance, look around on the internet and see what visa options are available to you.

Thanks snow girl for your answer. You are right. There are visa options, but in France, without a job, I am afraid that it could not be possible. We must try anyway.

It all depends on what countries you both live in and if you speak the language of the other country. My dad moved from Poland to Austria and found a job here, sure it wasn't in his field of study as he didn't speak the language at first, but now he's working as a social worker, has a master's degree and earns good money. It is possible to move to another country, find a job and live there, just try to figure out what would be the best choice for you two!

        Relationship began: 05/22/2012
        First Met: 03/21/2013 - 03/30/2013
        Second Visit: 06/06/2013 - 08/21/2013 ~ Proposal: 07/06/2013 ♥
        Third Visit: 10/09/2013 - 01/08/2013
        Closed the distance: 11/20/2014 ♥
        Married: 1/24/2015
        Became Resident: 9/14/2015

First, figure out who's country you want to live in. Second, become fluent in the language (not passable, but fluent). Third, start researching EVERYTHING. Fourth, long term planning is essential, no matter how desperated you are, you won't get there tomorrow, so get a plan together and work on it.

These things are not easy, and will require hard work on both of your parts. If you're serious about it, do the work, and see what needs to be done.

Yes, everything is possible, if we want it. I think you are right. Thank you to comfort me. We dont speak language of other country, nor him, nor me. Together, we speak English. Maybe we should try to move together to another country, different from ours, and start something new. So it will be same difficulties for both.

You can do that, but remember, for jobs language is important. Whatever country you end up in, you'll need to know the native language, English isn't good enough in most cases, unless you're in a very specialized field. Good luck.

Thanks Moon. Yes, it is not easy to realise but we should try, if we really want it.
